Privacy Policy
Last updated: September 26, 2026
WillowVow Studio ("WillowVow", "we") sells interactive wedding website templates through our Etsy shop, SouthDigi, and hosts the finished websites for our customers. This policy explains what information we handle, why, and the choices you have. It covers our activation and editing panel, the wedding websites we host, and this site.
Who this applies to
- Couples — customers who bought a template on Etsy and activated a website with us.
- Guests — people who visit a couple's wedding website or send an RSVP through it.
Your purchase itself happens on Etsy and is covered by Etsy's Privacy Policy. We never see your payment details.
Information couples give us
- Account details: your e-mail address, your Etsy order number, and the password you create (stored only as a one-way cryptographic hash — we can't read it).
- Website content: everything you add in the editor — names, date, venue, your story, photos, schedule, travel tips, registry links, FAQ answers.
We use this to verify your purchase, host and display your website, let you sign in, and contact you about your website (for example, to tell you it's live or to help you reset your password).
Information guests give through a wedding website
When a guest sends an RSVP, we store what they enter: their name, whether they're attending, party size, and any dietary notes, song request or message. This information is shown only to the couple who owns that website (in their private panel, with a CSV download) and to us when we need to provide support. The couple decides how they use their guests' replies.
Cookies and technical data
- We use a single sign-in cookie so couples stay signed in to their panel. Guests browsing a wedding website are not given any cookies by us.
- We don't use advertising cookies, analytics trackers or social-media pixels.
- Like every website, our servers briefly process visitors' IP addresses and browser information to deliver pages, keep the service secure and block abuse (for example, limiting repeated sign-in attempts).
Service providers
We don't sell or rent personal information, and we don't share it for advertising. We rely on a small number of providers to run the service:
- Cloudflare — network delivery and security protection for our sites.
- Our hosting provider — the servers that store the websites and their data.
- Google Fonts — wedding websites load their typefaces from Google, which receives the visitor's IP address when a font is downloaded.
- Our e-mail delivery provider — to send account e-mails such as "your website is live" and password resets.
Who can see a wedding website
Wedding websites are designed to be shared: anyone with the link can view one. We ask search engines not to index them, so they shouldn't appear in search results — but please don't put anything on your website that you wouldn't want a guest to forward.
How long we keep information
Websites and their RSVPs are kept for the hosting period included with your purchase (18 months from activation). After the website is taken offline we delete its content, photos and RSVPs within 90 days, apart from limited records we need to keep for fraud prevention (such as which Etsy order numbers have been used). Our backups roll over automatically, so deleted data disappears from them within a short period as well.
Your choices and rights
- Couples can edit or remove website content at any time, download their RSVPs, and ask us to delete their website and account early.
- Guests who want an RSVP corrected or removed can ask the couple, or contact us and we'll help.
- Depending on where you live (for example, California or the EU), you may have rights to access, correct, delete or receive a copy of your personal information. Contact us and we'll respond within the time the law requires. We don't sell or "share" personal information as those terms are defined under California law.
Security
Our sites use HTTPS, passwords are hashed, the sign-in page limits repeated attempts, and data is backed up regularly. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect your information.
Children
Our service is meant for adults planning a wedding. We don't knowingly collect information from children under 13.
Changes
If we make meaningful changes to this policy, we'll update the date above and, where appropriate, let couples know by e-mail.
